The BMS Matrix Therapy has been independently proven to work by non other than TÜV-Süd
The aim of the study conducted by Dr. Bernhard Dickreiter ( Orthopedic Joint Clinic Gundelfingen ) and the occupational physician Dr. med. Olaf Otto ( Präventic GmbH ) was to have presented a study as the first methodologically proven proof of the effectiveness of matrix therapy.
The aim of this therapy study, which was commissioned by BKK Gesundheit in 2009/2010 at TÜV SÜD Life Service, was to create a database for the experience gained to date with regard to efficacy.
The focus was also on the criteria of side effects, possible effects on the inability to work and the sustainability of the matrix therapy.
Study conclusion:
It was concluded in November 2011 that the matrix therapy study conducted by TÜV-Süd under the direction of Dr Olaf Otto and Dr Bernhard Dickreiter, reported on the long-term effects of matrix therapy that was applied to a collective of 470 chronic pain patients.
Over 70% of these patients experienced a reduction in pain to less than 50% of baseline levels after the fifth treatment.
In most patients, this effect was sustainable. Even after one year, most patients were able to do without any chemical painkillers. The efficacy and cost-effectiveness of matrix therapy could thus be demonstrated in a collective of chronic pain patients.
